I’m writing this in Jan 2022 for publication December 2022 as since writing my post Christmas books I have read a couple more.
Christmas with the Tea Shop Girls by Elaine Everest. It is my kind of book as set in wartime UK about women coping with challenges of war. The prologue is Christmas Eve but then chapter one rewinds to the previous 2nd September and the book then proceeds to Christmas. Therefore not totally Christmassy.
After reading the Christmas Killer by Alex Pine in December 2021 I bought his next book Snow Killer. The second book is set about a year after the first; it starts Christmas Eve and runs into the New Year. Features Christmas snow but lots of grittiness too! More my kind of book then fluffy Christmas books.
