On Friday evening, From the Home of Football: An Exhibition by Goalsoul opens at on Chapel Walk with nibbles and a panel discussion. I’ll not even try to better the flyer description:
“Alongside its steel-producing heritage, Sheffield’s single most important contribution to the world is modern football. This cannot be overstated. It is the spiritual home of the modern game and boasts the world’s first and oldest football club in Sheffield FC; who, in 1857 compiled the game’s original rules and innovations document. These rules are, unarguably, the blueprint for the game we watch and play, today.
Goalsoul’s artwork pays homage to that heritage and the ongoing evolution of the world’s most popular sport. The work is a tribute the game’s diverse nature, through its rich history and eclectic cultural tapestry.”

1. What show are you binge watching right now? I have been lent a box set of a old show that was on British tv called No Angels. It was set in 90s and is about nurses who live together and go out together a lot! Seems very dated to see them smoking inside pubs and drinking bracardi brezzers.
2. What are you reading?
Last night finished A long way down by Nick Hornby.
Trying to get through for book club A brief history of 7 killings by Marlon James. It is not so brief at 684 pages and not finding interesting so started skipping bits to get to the end.
Also on bedside table have Mark Haddon’s book of short stories; the Piers Falls. Looking forward to having time to reading another story from that.
3. What do you usually go for if you’re cooking just for yourself?
Pasta; quick and easy.
4. What’s your favorite eye and hair colour.
Love my blue eyes and blonde hair. Although liked change of having it blue before Christmas.
5. What sports did you practice in high school?
We did netball, hockey 🏑, swimming, random exercise videos.
6. How many hours a day do you spend on the internet?
Too many probably!
7. Do you choose your outfit in the day before or in the morning?
Sometimes get organised night before but mostly morning.
8. Can you play any instrument?
Have a guitar 🎸 but not done anything with it for a while. Wish could play proper chords, in time.

My experience being picked to take part in a poll and my opinion on an early election in the U.K.
Sometimes you wonder where the sample came from. Well in one instance I was one of the sample.
I randomly got a text supppsdly from sky news.
I said b. So they will probably use that as a vote against another election. But actually I do want another election and another referendum on Europe. I believe it is needed because so many people voted leave in protest, wanting change even though they did not want to actually leave. That protest is now acknowledged. Therefore I would like another refendrum where people can. Ore will facts about consequences of voting leave or remain. Therefore it is not correct to say I did not want an election.
However, I do not want an election as early as June. I think opposition parties need more time to prepare in order to be affective opposition.

The final This Is US has not yet been shown in the UK so I do not know how it ends, but loving seeing it played out. In the meantime I have tried to second guess and I have come up with a far fetched twist that Jack was actually physically abusive and manipulative in order to control Rebecca. However, the family have tried to block out how nasty he was as they want to put a positive spin on their childhood / lives. Perhaps he is not physically dead just metaphorically dead to the family.
