5 great opening lines don’t spring to mind.
However, I have just started from Here to Maternity by Sinead Moriaty and think the opening sets the scene quickly with impact.
Sinead is not related to Liane or Nicola Moriety but, came across her due to searching for the surname. Do all Moriety’s write good books?
The opening line to Daphne De Maurier Rebecca is memorable:
Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again.
Can you do better than me in thinking of 5 great openers?
May?! How? It doesn’t feel like it’s almost May because we’ve missed spring all together in southern Canada. We’ve had a couple half decent days, but it’s mostly been cold and snowy. I’m so excited for may though! So many amazing new releases, the warmer weather will finally be here, and it’s my birthday month!!! What’s not to love?
