Grapes of Wrath

Strawberry πŸ“ lemonade Dreams is a line from Talk Tonight written by Noel Gallagher for Oasis but always with Noel as lead singer.

Sittin’ on my own
Chewin’ on a bone
A thousand million
Miles from home when
Something hit me
Somewhere right between the eyesSleepin’ on a plane
You know you can’t complain
You took your last chance
Once again I
Landed, stranded
Hardly even knew your nameI wanna talk tonight
Until the mornin’ light
‘Bout how you saved my life
You and me see how we are
You and me see how we are

All your dreams are made
Of Strawberry πŸ“ lemonade
And you make sure I
Eat today you
Take me walking
To where you played
When you were youngI’ll never say that I
Won’t ever make you cry
And this I’ll say I
Don’t know why I
Know I’m leavin’
But I’ll be back another dayI wanna talk tonight
Until the mornin’ light
‘Bout how you saved my life

It was released in 1995 as a B side to Some may say. It was also included on Oasis’s B side album the Masterplan in 1998.

The lyric strawberry πŸ“ lemonade dreams really struck me after a Noel and his High Flying Birds gig at Sheffield arena The line strawberry πŸ“ lemonade dreams ran through my head πŸ’“ for days after.

I believe I have found the video of the performance I saw πŸ’“.Or at least one from Sheffield arena in February 2012.

Strawberry Lemonade Dreams 2012

According to Wilkpaeda: “Talk Tonight” is one of many acoustic B-side tracks sung by Noel. It was inspired by the near-breakup of the band in Los Angeles in autumn 1994, when Noel walked out without telling anyone and headed for San Francisco. He stayed with a girl he had befriended during a previous show there. According to the sleeve notes to The Masterplan, she talked a distraught Noel “off the ledge” and took him to the park where she had played as a child. It is also mentioned in the Oasis book by Paul Mathurs, Take Me There, that the girl also had an obsession with Snapple strawberry lemonade, which contributed to the line in the song, “all your dreams are made of strawberry lemonade.”
