Jasmine’s blog: Colourful Wullie sporting spotting and monochrome Edinburgh zoo

Did some more Wullie spotting today. Got bus from where living in Portabella to Edinburgh Waverley station, then 5minutes on train, to Haymarket Station. Outside station was a Wullie sculpture appropriately called Made in Scotland. Then walked to St Margaret cathedral to see one called Healing Touch which had a spiritual aesthetic which seems appropriate outside a cathedral. Then walked to an area with flats in close to Haymarket and saw a Wullie with a nod to Shakespeare called Where art I Wullie.

Then 10minute walk to Edinburgh zoo. Love zoos, London zoo is where have most memories of my late Godmother Emma who became my Dad’s wife.

My two favourite animals were both monochrome. I was keen to see the pandas in the zoo. I first saw pandas in Hong Kong. When I was little I used to have a panda rucksack which used along with my pink suitcase when stayed at my Dad’s. Edinburgh zoo is the only place in the UK that have pandas. Loved seeing them chew on the bamboo and even spawled out asleep.

Penguin section was good. Few different types of penguins and was a tank could see them swim under the water because above ground level and had one clear side.
