After rereading One Day which starts and ends in Edinburgh. I found 17 Rankeillor Street where the book starts and walked from there to Arthur’s seat, like Emma and Dexter did in the book on 15Jul1988. Unfortunately weather was not as good as in the book. It rained all day and by the time I got to the top the mist totally white outed the view over Edinburgh. I took a few snaps before the top.
Arthur’s seat is within Holyrood park by the nearest entrance to the house. The houses are walked past on the way looked quite new, so possibly were not there in 1988. Near the entrance was a post box which was probably in the same place.

Wonderwall 
I like the idea of walking the footsteps of a book and your locket is fab. Now to find one that has places for me to travel and photograph. Nice post.
